New Delhi: Indian Gooseberry which is also known as Amla. It is partially attributed to its high vitamin C content. It helps in to escalate immune system, slowing down aging, reducing blood sugar etc; Amla is used as Ayurvedic Medicines. Both he dried and fresh fruits of amla are used for medicinal purpose. Amla act as a diuretic agent, therefore increase food absorption, nourishing the brain and consolidate the liver. Instead of its many advantages, consuming amla in excess level has various side effects.

According to Ayurvedic practitioners, Amla cannot be safe for people in certain health conditions, such as people have lower hemoglobin levels or any type of anticoagulant medicines.

Escalate Bleeding

Amla is rich in vitamin C which can elevate the elasticity of the blood vessels, thereby softening and dilating them which help to improve circulation and lowering blood pressure.  But on the other side, if you have a bleeding disorder or if you are on anticoagulant medications, you should be very much alert while consuming amla and protect them from keeping them in large amount.

Cause Constipation

Indian Gooseberry or called Amla contains fibre. This can help in treating diarrhea due to gastrointestinal motility to go down. However, if you consumed in excesses quantity, than amla risen your stool and make it harder. To prevent constipation, you need to increase the water intake by consuming amla jusice or dried amla powder with water.

Skin might lose its Moisture

Amla has diuretic properties which will be deprived moisture from your skin. To keep your body hydrate, it is essential to keep drinking water after consuming amla. As you consume amla you will feel the dryness of the throat which means that you will have to drink lots of water.

Excessive Use of amla can be harmful for liver

Amla is great source of antioxidants and its hepatoprotective activity is beneficial in treating liver problems. If you are consuming any kind of Ayurvedic formulation that uses amla as component, there is some sort of chance of liver problems due to the increased level of a liver enzyme called Serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT).

Impact at your Blood Pressure level

If someone is going through from hypertension and renal disorders, they should avoid taking amla as pickles due to presence of salt in pickles. Eating salt escalate the quantity of sodium into the blood stream, which reduce the Kidney’s ability to remove water. As a result of this there is high blood pressure due to excessive fluid and too much pressure on the kidneys.
